SCREEN

¥726,000

A screen consisting of three double-sided panels. The shape of the frame, which traces a slight trapezoid from top to bottom toward the center, echoes the legs of the numerous chairs and tables designed by Jeanneret for Chanday Girl. The original panel is made of moleskin, a thick cotton fabric that was also used for military uniforms in Europe at the time.

It was designed around 1957-58 for the Chandigarh Secretariat Building, Punjab University, and other administrative facilities.
